Mike May started in science and technology writing and editing in 1991, and he has worked freelance full time since 1998. He earned an M.S. in biological engineering from the University of Connecticut and a Ph.D. in neurobiology and behavior from Cornell University. Mike worked for seven years as an associate editor at American Scientist, and his work from the past few years can be found in many publications, including Bio-IT World, BioOptics World, Bioscience Technology, Drug Discovery & Development, Nature Biotechnology, Nature Medicine, Science and Scientific American Worldview.
